Built in 1636, Château Rousselle gained great renown through the centuries and it became, in the 19th, a pilot in the experimentation of modernized cellars. In 1869, the Feret established Château Rousselle's reputation by classifying its wine as a “Premier Bourgeois”.
Vincent Lemaitre, vineyard and wine lover, has made his priority the understanding of the complexity and requirements of the highest quality of wine. He chose the terroir of Château Rousselle to take up this challenge, and since 1999, has worked to restore the splendour, renown and prosperity that the Château enjoyed prior to 1970. Today, Château Rousselle is again a leader in the production of superb wine as a result of this work.
